There are hundreds of ways to use flavored syrups. You will find several pages of recipes here as well as the basics for lattes, steamers, Italian sodas and creamosas.
Latte - espresso, flavor, stretched milk (steamed and lightly foamed). For a mocha, add chocolate. For an 8 oz latte use 1/2 oz flavored syrup, 1 shot espresso, 6 oz steamed milk. For a 16 oz latte use 1 oz flavored syrup, 1 or 2 shots of espresso, 14 oz steamed milk. Put the flavor into the cup and swirl it around. Pour the espresso in and swirl some more. Add steamed milk. Top with foam or whipped cream.
Steamer/Hot Chocolate - Steamed milk with flavor or chocolate sauce. For an 8 oz steamer use 1 oz flavored syrup, 7 oz steamed milk. Pour the flavor into the cup and swirl around. Add the steamed milk and top with a foam cap or whipped cream (see the flavored whipped cream ideas!)
Cold Drinks - Italian soda is sparkling water or seltzer (no salt) with flavor. Add a splash of cream and you have a creamosa. For a 16 oz drink, use 12 oz of ice, 8-10 oz sparkling water, 2 oz flavored syrup, add 1/2 oz half and half for a creamosa. To make the drink, scoop in the ice, pour the flavor in, add water, stir gently.
Iced Latte/Mocha - espresso and flavor with chilled milk over ice. For a 16 oz drink, 12 oz ice, 8-10 oz cold milk, 1 oz flavored syrup, 1 or 2 shots of espresso. Scoop in the ice, swirl the syrup and the espresso together and pour over the ice, add milk, stir.
Root Beer float - in celebration of summer! into an ice filled glass pour 2 oz of root beer syrup, 3 oz seltzer, fill with seltzer. Top with whipped cream. This is so rich, no one will miss the ice cream!
Vanilla coffee latte - into a latte mug pour 1/2 oz vanilla syrup, 1/2 oz coffee syrup and one shot of espresso - fill with foamed or steamed milk. Garnish with a chocolate covered espresso bean!
Caramel Egg Cream - Not at all what I thought it would be, sounds great! In a glass filled with ice, add 1 1/2 oz caramel syrup, 4 oz COLD milk and stir. Add seltzer to within 1/2" of the top of the glass. Add 1/2 oz of vanilla syrup, more ice if needed, stir again.
Chocolate Raspberry Breve - 1/2 oz raspberry syrup, 1/2 oz chocolate syrup, one shot of espresso, foamed or steamed half and half, and top with whipped cream, shaved semisweet chocolate or mini chocolate chips.
Amaretto Creamosa - in a ice filled glass pour 2 oz amaretto syrup. Fill with seltzer to within 1/2" of the top of the glass. Add half and half to fill the glass.
